US envoy, Chinese General call on COAS - PAK OBSERVER

Rawalpindi—Mr Cameron Munter, US Ambassador to Pakistan called on Chief of Army Staff, General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani at General Headquarters on Tuesday.

The Ambassador remained with the Amry Chief for some time and discussed Pak-US military cooperation, fight against terrorism and relief operations being carried out by the Pakistan and US military jointly. The US Ambassador appreciated the role of Pakistan army in fighting terrorism and assured that Washington would continue to provide necessary tools to Pakistan army to cope with the challenge effectively.

Major General Zhou Lin Hi, Chief of Military Material and Fuel, People Libration Army, China also called on Chief of Army Staff on Tuesday. The visiting dignitary remained with him for some time and discussed the matters of professional interest.
