KARACHI: The Ambassador of Qatar, Rashid bin Abdul Rehman Al-Naeemi Monday handed over flood relief goods to Pakistan Army on behalf of Qatar army. The ceremony was held at Central Ordnance Depot (COD) where Commander, Headquarters Karachi Log Area, Maj-Gen Ziauddin Najam received the goods. The consignment brought here by ship included six trucks, six vehicles, 74 tonnes of relief items and two mobile field hospitals. Brig General Tariq, Brig General Abdullah, presented Qatar army. “Pakistan is our Muslim brother country and we are trying to extend maximum support to the flood affectees,” the ambassador said while talking to the media after the ceremony. Major General Ziauddin Najam on the occasion expressed his gratitude to the Qatar army for the donation to flood affectees.
