KARACHI: At least 1000kg explosive materials were used to carry out deadly explosion at CID building on Thursday night, DIG Investigations Iftikhar Tarad told Geo News.
“The massive destruction cause by the blast leads to the reality that the vehicle used to carry out attack must be carrying 1000kg heavy explosive materials”, he said.
He said at least 4 to 5 militants launched attack on CID building by opening fire at FC and police personnel deployed at the main gate of building to destroy defense line.
It helped them gain access into premises of building, he informed.
Subsequently, they blew up explosives, which brought devastation at such a large scale, he claimed.
The mini truck laden with explosives which terrorist used was ‘white colored’, he added.
