Pak Army medical teams treated over 80,000 patients in flood-hit Balochistan

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Army Field Hospital and mobile medical teams have treated over 80,000 patients and provided free medical treatment and medicines of worth 85 lacs to the stranded people of Balochistan.

Army has dispatched 3500 cement bags to Multan and Peshawar for further distribution among the flood affected people as part of rehabilitation activities. Army has established mobile medical teams through heli service at Ghari Khairo in Sindh.

Italian medical team established a medical camp for flood affected people in Rojhan Jamali in Balochistan, said a press release issued by ISPR in Rawalpindi on Friday.

Around 22,810 flood affected people have returned to their homes in Sindh from relief camps of Balochistan. Over 117 families have returned to their native places from Army Relief Camp of Sibi in Balochistan in last 24 hours.

One C- 130 from Karachi carrying relief goods has been dispatched from Lahore to Quetta for further distribution among flood affected people.

In last 24 hours Army has distributed 8000 kg dry rations through heli services among flood affected people of Qila Saif Ullah in Balochistan.

And, a United Nations helicopter crash landed in Mancher Lake at zero point on Friday in the morning. Army has rescued the crew of helicopter and no causality has been reported.
