CJCSC meets Zardari: Armed forces needs to be taken care of, assures President

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Joint Chief of Staff Committee Gen Khalid Shameem Wyne called on President Asif Ali Zardari and at the Aiwan-e-Sadr on Tuesday and discussed professional matters related to armed forces with the president.

This is the maiden meeting of the CJCSC Wyne with the President after assuming his charge as CJCSC.

President congratulated the CJCSC on his appointment and said that the government despite economical constraints would equip the armed forces with latest technology to strengthen the defense f the country.

Sources told that President praised the efforts of the armed forces in relief and rehabilitation work for the flood affectees.

The new CJCSC also briefed the president on his vision regarding development of the armed forces.
