Pak Army Engineers open Sujawal-Jati road in Sindh

RAWALPINDI: Army Engineers have opened the road Sujawal-Jati in Sindh for traffic while over 40,000 flood affected people have returned to their places from relief camps at Balochistan to Sindh with the help of Pakistan Army.

According to an Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release, the army has dispatched 5 trucks carrying flood relief goods donated by UAE at Dera Murad Jamali for stranded people.

Five trains carrying relief items donated by Red Crescent reached Quetta from Ankara Turkey. Two C-17 carrying 80 tons of relief goods (dry ration, clothes and medicines) dispatched from Sialkot and two C-130 carrying 15 tons of relief items were dispatched from Chaklala to Quetta for flood affected people of Balochistan.

Four MI-17 of China have joined relief and rescue operations at Hyderabad in Sindh.

Army has distributed 461,145 family packets comprising rations and relief items among stranded people of Southern Punjab.
