Lahore—Pakistan Air Force ambition of completing double over Pakistan Army in Pakistan Premier Football League failed to materialize as soldiers earned revengeful 3-1 win over airmen at Peshawar’s Qayyum Stadium on Thursday.

Army who suffered 0-1 defeat at the hands of PAF on the opening day, took sweet revenge within eight days with a fine win in the second leg between the two teams.
Their star performer was Muhammad Ikram who recently joined four times former national Champion. He shattered the defence of rival team with two sparkling goals in the 36th and 42nd minutes, leaving ageing keeper Khalid Khan stranded on both occasions. Army led 2-0 at interval and they enhanced the lead further through Muhammad Imran who slipped the ball past keeper in the 49th minute to make it 3-0.
PAF struck honour-saving goal through Muhammad Zeeshan who slammed the ball past keeper Mehmood Ahmed, playing instead of Jaffar Khan as first-choice Jaffar is in National U23 Tram Camp at Lahore.
