Army starts evacuation from Sehwan

KARACHI: The Pakistan Army has evacuated 600 people from Boobuk, Bhan Saeedabad, Jhaangara and Sehwan in continuation of the flood relief and rescue operations. According to an ISPR press release, 23,000 flood victims were lodged at various army relief camps and 26,472 people have been provided cooked food while 188 tonnes of dry rations distributed among the affectees. Army’s medical camps established in affected areas have treated 4,803 people. The statement said that 24 truckloads of relief goods have been dispatched from Karachi to the flood-affected areas during the last 24 hours.
