A few years ago I heard about mayan calender. According to Mayan calender there is something big going to be happened in world. I was really amazed to hear this thing. Mayan calender told that 2012 maybe start of a new world or maybe end of the world. I am still thinking about it.
I am a Muslim and I have firm beleif in Islam so I will describe my opinion under viewpoint of Islam. I think 2012 maybe a start of new world but I can't beleive that it would be the end of the world.
According to Islam no one knows end of the world but Allah ( S.W.T ) . Morever, still Dajjal, Imam Mehdi and Jesus have to come. They have not yet came into the world. So it end of the world is not possible. Allah ( S.W.T ) may extense even a single night to many years so in this case 2012 maybe end of the world but I still think 2012 would not be end of the world because according to Islam no one will be able to know about end of the world. Many people are saying 2012 as end of the world it means it is not the date of end of the world.
It maybe start of a new world. Maybe due to some nuclear wars, floods etc it maybe start of a new world.
( This is just my personal opinion , Allah ( S.W.T ) knows the best )
